The White Valley, Tony Moggio defies the peaks

Definitely, Tony Moggio is not cold in the eyes! After braving the water, this former amateur rugby player, who became quadriplegic following an accident in the middle of a match, is about to challenge the snow. Nearly three years after connecting the port of Sainte-Maxime to that of Saint-Tropez with the strength of his arms alone, he will flirt, on March 9, 2022, with the summits of the Mont-Blanc massif in tandem skiing.

The Toulousain will start around 9:30 am from the Aiguille du midi, with his partner Raphaël Faivre, ski instructor, direction Chamonix. A first for a quadriplegic person. "To me the Vallée Blanche!", impatient this 36-year-old challenger who thus opens the voice to lovers of sliding in a situation of handicap.

Last minute:

"The sun was there but not the snow! It's only part of the deal.  Tony Moggio was unable to hit the slopes of the Vallée Blanche in tandem skiing today, as originally planned, due to too little snow. This challenge is postponed to April, weather permitting.
